New Wise Mother, Good Wife is a Korean drama series starring Kim Ho Jin, Kang Sung Yun, Kim Nam Jin, and Kim Tae Yun in a story about two women and the people around them, one who leads a traditional life as a housewife and one who leads a progressive life as a career-driven and wealthy writer. Heo Myung Pil (Kim Ho Jin) is a well-respected and dedicated reporter whose personal life as a husband takes a back-seat to his time-consuming career. Gyung Gook Hee (Kang Sung Yun) is his patient wife who is eternally supportive and reliable. Lim Tae Ran (Kim Tae Yun), however, provides a sharp contrast to the life of Gyung Gook Hee, as she is as fiercely devoted to her profession as a successful writer as any man.
