Negima! is an Japanese-style animated ("anime") series based on the manga Negima! Magister Negi Magi, created by Ken Akamatsu. The story follows Magister Magi-in-training Negi Springfield, who travels from Wales to help people with his powers and find the Thousand Master, a legendary wizard who is Negi's father and is believed to be dead. The series follows Negi as he becomes an English teacher at a middle school class of 31 female students. As he gets to know each of them individually, he delves deeper into the world of wizardry, fending off rival wizards who stand in his way of becoming a Magister Magi. He develops a relationship with Asuna Kagurazaka, one of his students and roommate. They start off roughly, but develop a deep relationship helping each other.
