M.Y.O.B.

M.Y.O. B, or Mind Your Own Business, is a television series which aired in the year 2000. This American comedy series produced by NBC, is about a teenager Riley Veatch (Katharine Towne) who was adopted and grew up in Akron, Ohio. At the age of 16, she runs away from Akron in search of her birth mother. She arrives in California and moves in with her aunt Opal Marie Brown (Lauren Graham). Despite Opal's sister Pearl denying that Riley is her daughter, Opal helps Riley out getting settled in California. Riley enrolls in Gossett High School, where Opal is the assistant principal. The two get closer and the relation intensifies when both starting helping each other out and Opal starts treating Riley as her own daughter. Things go a little serious as Mitch (Paul Fitzgerald), Opal's ex-boyfriend wants Opal to get back with him, despite the fact that he is married. There are a total of 7 episodes but only 4 were aired.
