My Wife and Kids

My Wife and Kids is a sitcom on ABC starring Damon Wayans as Michael Kyle, husband to wife Janet (Tisha Campbell- Martin) and father to children Michael Jr. (George Gore II), Kady (Parker McKenna Posey), and Claire (Jennifer Freeman), who has an unusual style of parenting. He does his best to share life's lessons with his children with a unique sense of humor. The family lives in a suburb of Stamford, Connecticut, where Michael owns a trucking company. Michael and Janet deal with their children growing up as they encounter the challenges of raising teenaged Jr. and Claire, as the kids deal with the hazards of being one, and little Kady, the youngest, is still learning and growing into her own person. Through it all wife and children know they can approach Michael for advice- and that he may often offer it without being asked. One of the early storylines is that Claire discovers her friend Charmaine (played by raven-Simone) is pregnant, which led to the original actress cast as Claire, Jazz Raycole, being pulled from the show by her mother and replaced by Freeman.
