My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic is the animated series based off the popular Hasbro toy's, My Little Pony. The toy ponies aimed at young girls came out in 1982 and were a huge hit, still being sold today. The multi-colored ponies with brushable hair captured the imagination of girls all around the world. The franchise has led to many interpretations, like the first cartoon special in 1984, Rescue at Midnight Castle. With a series from 1986-1987, the show and toys became an even bigger hit. Since then, there have been more specials, DVD collections, and in 2010 a new series, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The series follows Twilight Sparkle, a young pony that is a pupil of the world's ruler Princess Celestia. The bookworm is the smartest unicorn in Equestria, but isn't as good with her personal life. Princess Celestia sends her on a mission to make friends, and she meets five special ponies who teach her that friendship is magical on My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. MORE
