My Gym Partner's a Monkey

My Gym Partner’s a Monkey is an animated comedy on Cartoon Network. Through a paperwork mix-up, in which a clerical error listed twelve-year-old Adam Lyon (Nika Futterman) as Adam Lion, the pre-teen human boy is forced to transfer from Chester Arthur Middle School to Charles Darwin Middle School, a school where all the teachers and all the students are local zoo animals. When Adam is paired with Jacob P. “Jake” Spidermonkey (Tom Kenny) in gym, he finds a new best friend in the animal-run institution. He is glad of it, too, because he soon finds that adjusting in a school where he is the only one of his species is a little more challenging than what one usually goes through when transferring to a new school. Created by Timothy and Julie McNally Cahill, the show enjoyed four seasons before being cut in 2008, at the end of a three-year run. MORE
