$#*! My Dad Says is a television series on CBS based on the twitter of 29-year-old Justin Halpern, whose hilarious account quoted insightful, often profane gems from his 73-year-old father whom he had recently moved back in with. The multicamera family comedy is executive produced by 'Will & Grace' creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick and written by Halpern and Patrick Shumacker. The show stars William Shatner as the dad with all the one-liners and Ryan Devlin as his son Henry, an out-of-work writer who's moved back in to save some money. As Henry tries to get his life together, his days are brightened by the entertaining and obscene quips of his dear old dad, and his new living situation creates changes in several of his relationships. While CBS has gotten some flack for a show title that alludes to profanity, they also went through several different names and $#*! is the one they settled on. The show promises to be amusing with Shatner at the help and so much material, originally in 140-character format, to work with.
