Mr. Meaty

Mr. Meaty is surreal puppet-based comedy TV series produced in conjunction with Nickelodeon and CBC television that features two teens working at a fast food restaurant called Mr. Meaty. A spoof of fast food joints everywhere, Mr. Meaty is a slice of fast-food hell, nestled in the cozy second-floor food court at the Scaunchboro Mall, where Josh and Parker offer up a choice of meat, meat, and, well, more meat to appease the hunger of their customers. When Josh isn’t checking out girls or “moving stuff” for his brother’s moving company, he tries to maintain an air of cool with his hipster haircut and awesome skills of buttering bread. Parker, on the other hand, prefers videogame elf-babes to real girls and stays in the kitchen, mainly because the customers won’t be able to smell him from back there. It’s a miserable job but somebody has to do it, a fact that works out just fine for them. Originally designed as a series of shorts on the Canadian Broadcasting Corp’s The Void, Mr. Meaty is unique in its use of puppetry and crude situational humor. MORE
