More Than Love (Maging Sino Ka Man)

More'Than'Love'(Maging'Sino'Ka'Man) is a drama television series from the Philippines that premiered in 2006 and lasted for one year. Despite its short run, More Than Love was an instant hit and has gained a lot of critical acclaim in recent years. Each episode runs 30 minutes in length and promises compelling plot lines and excellent acting from its cast. Essentially, the show centers around the lives of four character - Eli (John Lloyd Cruz), Jackie (Bea Alonzo), Celine (Anne Curtis), and JB (Sam Milby). Although Eli and Jackie are siblings, they are very different in nature. Eli grew up in poverty and works hard to make a living. He is a firm believer in the notion that love can conquer all. Jackie, Eli's sister, is opposite from Eli in terms of status. She is dating JB, a very wealthy gentleman, and tries very hard to appease everyone in her life. She learns that in order to be happy in life, you must be true to yourself despite what anyone may think of you. JB is very rich, as he inherits a lucrative family business enterprise. On the surface, it appears as though he has the perfect life, but we soon find out there is one thing he is lacking. Lastly, Celine is a tough girl who has faced many hard times in her life and carries this sadness with her. We find that she has a bigger heart than we're lead to believe. MORE
