Mobile Suit Gundam 00

Mobile Suit Gundam is a Japanese anime television series created by Yoshiyuki Tomino that aired from 1979 to 1980 on the Nagoya Broadcasting Network. It is the original Gundam series that spawned a number of spin-offs and sparked a pop culture phenomenon in Japan. In the year 0079 of the Universal Century, the Principality of Zeon has seceded from the Earth Federation with a violent civil war. Zeon is smaller than than Earth but has the ability to use the mobile suit fighting technology in which humans can pilot giant humanoid robots. Normal Earthling Amuro Ray accidently finds a new Earth Federation mobile suit aboard the warship White Base during an attack by the Principality of Zeon. Amuro Ray decides to pilot the mobile suit and ends up neutralizing the conflict. While not very popular in its initial release, Mobile Suit Gundam became a success once the model kits of the mobile suits were released. MORE
