Missing, also known as 1-800-Missing is a television series based on the book series '1-800-WHERE-R-YOU' by Meg Cabot. The show was featured on Lifetime in the US and lasted from 2003 to 2006. The show follows Jess Mastriani (Caterina Scorsone), a 20-something-year-old girl who has discovered she has psychic powers after being hit by lightning. The FBI is interested in using Jess in solving cases of missing people. In the right environment, Jess has visions of these missing people and can lead the FBI agents in the right direction. Jess also has someone who works alongside with her: Brooke Haslett (Gloria Reuben). Other characters in the show include Sunny Estrada (Justina Machado) and Alan Coyle (Dean McDermott). After the first season, the show was completely re-done. In season 2 of the show, Brooke Haslett, Jess's original sidekick, was scratched and replaced with Nicole Scott (Vivica A. Fox). Mark Consuelos replaced Justina Machado in her role as Sunny, and a new character named Assistant Director John Pollock was introduced.
