Melrose Place (The CW)

Melrose Place is a television series on the CW, a remake of the older version that began in 2009. A group of people in their early-20s live in the same iconic West Hollywood apartment complex that the 1990s series was centered around. The show begins with the mysterious death of Sydney Andrews (Laura Leighton, a guest star from the original series), the complex’s landlord, and every occupant has the motivation to be a suspect. The main characters include Violet (Ashlee Simpson-Wentz), a newcomer who insists that Sydney was her mother, Ella Simms (Katie Cassidy), a PR career girl with a penchant for parties, Auggie Kirkpatrick (Colin Egglesfield), an aspiring chef), Lauren Yung (Stephanie Jacobsen), a medical student who starts accepting cash for sex, Riley Richmond (Jessica Lucas), a schoolteacher, her fiancé Jonah Miller (Michael Rady), a filmmaker struggling to launch his career, and David Breck (Shaun Sipos), son of the original series character Dr. Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro). In addition to Leighton and Calabro, other characters from the original series appear as guest stars- Josie Bissett as Jane Andrews, Heather Locklear as Amanda Woodward, and Daphne Zuniga as Jo Reynolds.
