Mel B: It's a Scary World

Mel B: It's a Scary World premiered in September of 2010 on cable TV's Style Network and documents the daily life of actress/singer, Melanie Brown, of Spice Girls' fame. The American reality series follows Mel as she balances being a wife and mother with being an entertainer and businesswoman. Co-produced by Brown and her husband, Stephen Belafonte, the series stars the couple and Mel's two young daughters, Phoenix and Angel Brown, from previous relationships. While some of Mel B: It's a Scary World shows Brown and her husband running their busy careers, much of the show centers on the normal day-to-day activities of her and her family. When asked about her experience filming the first season, Mel said, "They were just following us around. It's not like we had to make anything up or act. It was actually quite easy, to be honest. The kids thoroughly enjoyed it. It was just a very natural thing to do". Although not overly well received by critics, It's a Scary World has been a fan favorite. Talks and preparations have begun for the next season and they hope to begin shooting soon. MORE
