Matt Helm (Anthony Franciosa), formerly a seasoned spy, brings a wide range of skills to his new career as a private investigator. While he has left the work of clandestine meetings and covert operations behind, the subtleties of investigative work parallel his pervious experiences. His vast knowledge, wit and attention to detail were responsible for solving numerous mysteries that involve money, missing persons and murder. His assistant, Claire Kronski (Laraine Stephens) provides the much needed support to clients and Helm alike. Kronski rises to the occasion after, even working alone to uncover crucial evidence while Helm is out of town. At the end of the day, the mystery is uncovered as Matt Helm leads the pursuit of truth. Lines are blurred as Helms work uncovers secrets and evidence that may challenge Helm's original conceptions about a particular case.
