M''R (M''rchen Awakens Romance) is an anime television series screened on Cartoon Network's Toonami that is based off a manga of the same name. The series follows the adventures of Ginta Toramizu, a typical teenager who has been transported into a fairytale realm named M''R-Heaven, where he possesses immense might, energy and endurance, quite unlike his real-world self. He is accompanied on his journeys by a mysterious magical weapon named Babbo, who possesses a human soul and is able to speak and think for himself. The two make a formidable pair and overcome many obstacles together. Ginta and Babbo also meet a great number of other explorers on their travels, both friend and foe - and eventually, they become an integral part of a team of adventurers who are united by a common quest: to defeat the evil Chess Pieces and their wicked leader Phantom and therefore restore peace to the world of M''R-Heaven.
