Malcolm in the Middle

Malcom In the Middle is a comedy tv series on Fox about Malcolm (Frankie Muniz), and his family; mother Lois (Jane Kaczmarek), father Hal (Bryan Cranston), and his three (later four) siblings. The oldest is Francis (Christopher Masterson), who is at military school, leaving Malcolm with his other older brother Reese (Justin Berfield), and a younger brother, Dewey (Erik Per Sullivan). Malcolm is unusually intelligent, being labeled as a genius, which makes dealing with his dysfunctional family that much more difficult to cope with. He is placed in a class for gifted students, known as Krelboynes in his school, where he meets fellow students who he can relate to more easily. His best friend is Stevie Kenarban (Craig Lamar Traylor), a wheelchair-bound fellow overly-intelligent adolescent, and they frequently spend time with Lloyd and Dabney Hooper (Evan Matthew Cohen and Kyle Sullivan), who are both gifted students and occasional troublemakers. Malcolm also finds a friend in one of his first crushes, Cynthia (Tania Raymonde) when she joins the gifted class. Despite his sometimes-overwhelming family and despite, or perhaps because of, his overactive brain, Malcolm manages to make it through his adolescence alive. MORE
