Making His Band

Making His Band is a reality show on MTV as part of Sean “Diddy” Combs- hosted series Making the Band, but instead of searching for new talent to make into an independent group, this time Diddy is looking for musicians to be part of his backup band on his Last Train to Paris tour. Previous seasons yielded hip-hop group Da Band, female pop group Danity Kane, and R&B group, Day26. Diddy is auditioning singers, drummers, guitarists, bassists, and keyboardists to join him on tour to support his sixth and supposedly final album release. The judges assisting him include choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson, producer and lyricist Om’Mas Keith, songwriter Rob Lewis, musical director Nisan Stewart, and vocal coach Romeo. Rounds of auditions with Diddy himself will determine who has the talent to back him up, but the trials don’t end there. Rehearsals will be nonstop and grueling, and harsh criticism will abound to weed out the wannabes from those worthy of sharing a stage with the man himself. It won’t be easy, but at the end of the day they’ll have the opportunity of a lifetime at their fingertips and go on a worldwide tour to be a part of Diddy’s legacy. MORE
