Mahoromatic is an animated science fiction comedy TV series developed by Gainax based on the manga series of the same name by Bunjuro Nakayama that centers on Mahoro, a powerful fighter of an android who is given a chance to live the rest of her life repenting for killing her commander Originally created as a soldier to fight an alien invasion, Mahoro has a limited life ' she barely has a year to live. When she is given a chance by her creators to do anything, she chooses to serve as a maid for Suguru Misato, a very intelligent young teenager whose father had been killed by Mahoro in a hostage situation. It is an awkward situation with Mahoro looking more akin to a young teenager but the two become closer as Mahoro competes for Suguru's attention with a number of his classmates, including a group of girls known as the Triomatic. The true tragedy though is that Mahoro only has so much time left before she ceases to operate.MORE
