Magical Play

Magical Play is a net animation which was webcast in 2001-02. The series had twenty two episodes. The character designs of the anime were rendered by Kiyohiko Azuma. Magical Play is the story of Padudu whose one and only goal is to live forever in a world of luxury which only Magical Girls can. She's chosen as the Magical Carrier and she travels from her hometown of Sea Heaven to Sweetland, a place ruled by the manipulative Queen Purilun. In her quest to be a Magical Girl, Padudu combats other Magical Girls to collect stamps called 'Hanamaru'. Padudu also wards off the negative influence of the seductive Myunyu and rival Pipin. The mission for becoming a Magical Girl becomes even more challenging as she encounters formidable rivals such as fugitive Nonononn, Queen Purilun's servant Zucchini and police officers Mustard and Ketchup. The character of Padudu was voiced by Larissa Wolcott in English and Ai Tokunaga in Japanese. MORE
