Madlax

Madlax is a 26-episode Japanese anime television series. Two young women, Madlax and Margaret, live in two different countries, following very different lives, yet are somehow strangely connected. Madlax is a special-ops agent for hire in Gazth-Sonika, a land torn apart by civil war. Margaret lives in the peaceful European country of Nafrece. Strangely, neither of them can remember anything that happened to them prior to twelve years ago. The key to the mystery is a journey that Margaret and her mother took twelve years ago, when their airplane crashed over Gazth-Sonika. No passengers from that flight have been seen again, apart from Margaret, who returned to Nafrece alone. She did not know how she got back, and all she could remember was the word "Madlax". When they each investigate the crime syndicate "Enfant" on their own, they are drawn together and start to learn the secrets of their pasts. MORE
