Mad Mad House

Mad Mad House, broadcast on the SyFy network, is a reality-based competition show that pits each of ten contestants against each other for a chance to win 100,000 dollars. The contestants all move into a house that is also inhabited by another group of people, called the alts, for alternative lifestyle. Each of the five alts is in charge of a task each of the contestants much complete in order to stay in the house. At the end of the task (and the end of the episode) the alts confer amongst each other and vote one of the contestants out of the house. Some of the tasks the alts challenge the contestants to include obtaining objects related to vampires, living as naturalists, covering themselves in animal organs as part of a voodoo ritual, and drinking blood. In the end, Jamie wins the prize money, as she is the last one remaining in the house and is able to stand on a hook suspended from the ceiling with ever-increasing weights attached to her in an attempt to make her fail the task. Premiering in 2004, Mad Mad House received both an extremely poor critical reception and low ratings. MORE
