Louie is a comedy series from FX featuring comedian Louis C.K, who stars as a newly divorced father raising his two daughters in New York City. The show will combine his stand-up routines with autobiographical comedy shorts portraying his life off of the stage into an hour-long show. Louis C.K. created the whole series almost single-handedly, only receiving help from co-executive producer Dave Becky and a budget of $250,000 from FX. The comedian himself did the rest - casting, producing, directing, and editing the show. He described the show as "a unified stream of consciousness. It all comes from me being a 41-year-old divorced comic trying to raise children, meet people and have sex." Louis C.K. previously starred in the HBO series "Lucky Louie," which developed a cult following despite being canceled after only one season. His new venture follows FX's hit show "Rescue Me," starring Denis Leary. Previously, the show "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" followed "Rescue Me", which helped "Sunny" become extremely popular. The network hopes the same will happen with Louis C.K.'s "Louie."MORE
