Lincoln Heights

Lincoln Heights is a drama series on ABC Family that follows Eddie Sutton (Russell Hornsby), a police officer who packs up his suburban home and moves his family to his old Los Angeles neighborhood. While Officer Sutton hopes to improve the neighborhood where he grew up, he and his family are faced with the many challenges that come with inner-city life. Nikki Micheaux plays Jennifer Sutton, a nurse and Eddie’s wife who is against the family’s relocation to the city. The couple’s three children initially struggle to adapt to their new environment, but eventually find their place among their new neighbors and classmates. Erica Hubbard stars as Cassie, the oldest Sutton child who is artistic and kind. She quickly meets Charles (Robert Adamson), another new transplant to Lincoln Heights, and the two begin a whirlwind relationship. Rhyon Nicole Brown plays Lizzie, the Sutton’s second daughter who is a basketball player and a dancer. Mishon Ratliff plays Tay, the Sutton’s son and youngest child, who is a talented musician. Though the Sutton family faces many difficult challenges in their new neighborhood, their strong values and faith in one another hold the family together. Lincoln Heights premiered on January 8, 2007 and aired for four seasons on ABC Family before its cancellation in 2010. MORE
