Lexx is a science fiction television series originally airing on the Sci Fi Channel from 1997 to 2002 The show centers around the crew of the Lexx searching the universe for a new home. The crew includes captain Stanley H. Tweedle (Brian Downey), a love slave named Zev (Eva Haberman), undead assassin Kai (Michael McManus), a robotic head 790 (Jeffrey Hirschfeild), and a plant woman who eats people named Lyekka (Louise Wishcerman). On top of these characters, the Lexx itself is a space ship the size of Manhattan and has a voice of its own (Tom Gallant). The series focuses mainly on the crew of the Lexx dealing with issues like hunger, and sexuality while dealing with an insect race trying to exterminate all of humanity. The first season deals with the crew of the Lexx searching for protoblood for Kai after fleeing from the Cluster. In this search, they discover a giant insect has survived inside the Cluster and has been behind His Divine Shadow. The show ran for four seasons and was noted for its rampant use of sexual overtones.MORE
