Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods is a television series on MTV chronicling the search for the next actress to play iconic blonde Elle Woods in the Broadway musical. Following a nationwide casting call, the finalists have been narrowed down to ten girls who want to be the star of a musical sensation. They are competing for the chance of a lifetime, being the lead in Legally Blonde. Legally Blonde the Musical: the Search for Elle Woods will go inside of the audition process and demonstrates the skills required to be a Broadway star, as well as showing the ten girls living together in an apartment while competing for the same dream. Broadway superstars, including choreographer Denis Jones, vocal coach Seth Rudetsky and cast members of Legally Blonde, as well as singer actress Haylie Duff, who had a starring role in Hairspray, coach the finalists.
