Law & Order: Criminal Intent

Law & Order: Criminal Intent is one of the series of the popular Law & Order franchise that focuses on New York City Police Department's Major Case Squad, and it's detectives Robert Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio), his partner Alexandra Eames (Kathryn Erbe), Mike Logan, Carolyn Barek, Megan Wheeler, and their Captain James Deakins. The Major Case Squad investigates high-profile murders and crimes, dealing with famous VIP's, and cases of victims in the government, art and financial worlds. The show focuses on the actions and motives of the criminals in addition to those of the police, showing cut scenes of the lives of the suspects and victims in the time before the crimes. Bobby Goren is an intelligent detective, who can use intuition and insight, as well using his his imposing physical presence. A complex character with a sensitive side as well as an unpredictable one, he is matched well with his partner Alexandra Eames. Eames provides a balance to Goren, with her pragmatic and analytical style. Every other episode alternates to Mike Logan as the main character, a short-tempered and cynical detective with his partners Carolyn Barek and later Megan Wheeler.
