Later... with Jools Holland

Later with Jools Holland is a late-night music television show from the BBC, hosted by musician Jools Holland, which began airing in 1992. Each show features performances by around five bands or performers from a wide variety of musical styles. Jools also interviews some of the guest performers, and the show begins with a unique feature, a jam session featuring all the guest performers playing together with Jools himself on the piano. Jools also joins in at times with the guest bands' individual performances. The show also has larger-scale special episodes such as Jools' Annual Hootenanny, a musical celebration for New Years' Eve, and specials celebrating anniversary episodes such as the 100th or 250th show. It airs in both live and pre-recorded versions. Myriad famous musicians and bands from around the world appear on the show. Past guests have included, as just a few examples, Johnny Cash, Radiohead, The Cure, Sir Paul McCartney, and Jay-Z.
