Last Comic Standing

Last Comic Standing is a popular NBC reality TV talent competition in search of America's next big stand-up comedian. Comics from clubs across the nation audition privately for a pass to the first round and hopefully beyond as they move closer to finals and perform in front of a panel of expert joke judges and laughable audiences nationwide. As if comedy and challengers weren't tough enough, previous season's contenders were expected to live in a house together, much like every talent reality search ever. Originally airing 2003, the show somehow managed to avoid a well publicized cancellation in 2009 and be brought for this newest season. The show has also been amidst controversy over judging loopholes and a meaningless voting system usurped by producers when in Season 2, Drew Carey stormed off set due to disputes. But it's laughs or elimination as the jesters joke off in this high stakes, career making competition! Hosts have included Jay Mohr, Bill Bellamy and Craig Robinson. Past "winners" include Iliza Shlesinger, Josh Blue, John Heffron and Dat Phan. MORE
