LAPD: Life On The Beat

LAPD: Life On The Beat is the reality series that follows officers of the Los Angeles Police Department. We join LAPD officers as they patrol and undertake investigations, trying to clean up the dangerous streets of Los Angeles. The show premiered in 1995, following the formula of COPS, but instead only featuring officers from one department. The show followed cops as they took on routine patrols, vice units, gang units, and even SWAT calls. In addition to following the officers on their calls, the show featured LA cold case stories and quizzes about police statistics. The streets of LA are notoriously tough, with gangs, drugs, and crime causing problems for the residents and for law enforcement.
