La La Land

La La Land is a six-episode, half-hour series that is half-comedy and half-documentary and airs on Showtime. Marc Wootton, award-winning British comedian, stars in this show about three wannabes fighting to make it in Los Angeles' cutthroat entertainment industry. Wootton is the only one playing a part in the show, the other characters, including the other two main wannabes, are all real and unaware that Wootton is an actor. They only know Wootton as Brendan Allen, a talent-less documentary filmmaker who will do whatever it takes to make his dream come true. The exploits of the other characters, from one guy's hilarious search for proper headshots to another's brief career as a private eye, make for quite an entertaining show. Throw in a failed exorcism-this is Hollywood, after all, and anything goes-and you have a rockin', fun show with a good sense of humor. Tune into La La Land for some light-hearted, occasionally loopy, entertainment. MORE
