Kurau: Phantom Memory

Kurau Phantom Memory is a 2004 Japanese anime produced by Media Factory and Bones. Set in the science fiction future of 2110, it tells the story of Kurau Amami (Ayako Kawasumi, Monica Rial), a mercenary investigator who takes on the most dangerous jobs the government has to offer But Kurau has a secret. When she was twelve years old, her father Dr. Hajime Amami (Mitsuru Ogata, John Gremillion) undertook a mysterious experiment with a form of energy known as the Rynax. When it goes awry, a bolt of light strikes Kurai, fusing her with the Rynax, which are actually sentient beings from another dimension. This union grants her amazing powers, such as enhanced strength and the ability to fly. But when the government tries to exploit her abilities, all of those involved must make difficult decisions.
