Kings is the NBC serial drama that follows a King Silas Bejamin, who rules over a fictional Kingdom of Gilboa, a modern monarchy that resembles the culture and technology of present-day United States. Loosely based on the biblical story of King David, King Silas believes he is a divinely anointed king, and claims butterflies once landed on his head in the shape of a crown which called him to form the united kingdom of three warring countries of Gilboa, Carmel, and Selah. When tensions rise between Gilboa and the neighboring nation Gath, several prisoners of war are taken, and the young soldier David Shepherd crosses enemy lines against orders and saves them. The POW that David saves is Jack Benjamin, the prince son of King Silas. David earns the gratitude of King Silas, who promotes him to a Captain and military liaison to the media. David's life will never be the same as he is brought into the high-class world of media and the royal court, and a message from God indicates that he is more than just a Captain.MORE
