Kenichi is the FUNimation Japanese animated series based on the manga by Syun Matsuena. The series tells the story of Kenichi, a boy who seems destined to be picked on forever. At 16 years old he has been bullied his whole life. A first year high school student who loves gardening and reading, he appears as a weakling to the rest of his students. When he meets a new student, everything changes. Miu Furinji is a mysterious transfer student, and Kenichi follows her to a dojo to try to become stronger so he can protect her.
