Jupiter Moon: New Frontier is the sci-fi soap opera that follows the lives and relationships of students of Columbus College. Columbus College is a university of space, which is housed in the space station Ilea which orbits Jupiter's Moon Callisto. The year is 2050, and we join in with these 20 something students and staff as they live their lives in the confined space station. If you thought dealing with the ups and downs of young romance was tough, try doing it in space. In addition to conflicts and relationships among the crew and students, the characters also have to deal with the perils of space, like black voids, space creatures, deadly viruses and much more. The series was created and produced by William Smethurst, and had a cast including Lucy Benjamin, Anna Chancellor, Jason Durr and Fay Masterson. The series was broadcast in 1990 on BSB's Galaxy Channel, with 150 episodes commissioned and the first 108 showing on BSB.
