Journeyman is the NBC sci-fi drama about San Francisco reporter Dan Vasser (Kevin McKidd), who for an unknown reason starts involuntarily jumping backwards in time. Dan is a family man, living with his wife Katie and young son Zack, a recovering gambling addict that works hard to support his new family. He inexplicably begins to travel through time to times and places out of his control, and his only warning signs are headaches moments before he shifts through time. As he experiences more jumps he realizes that they are following persons that he must help to change their destinies. As he tries to help change the futures of these people, fate seems to be acting to make sure he doesn't alter events outside his current subject. His travels begin to affect his personal life, causing stress at work and with his family, and things are further upset when he is reunited in a time shift with his long-lost fiancee Livia.
