Jane and the Dragon is an animated television series on ABC, based on the books of the same name by Martin Baynton. The show focuses on the adventures of Jane (Tajja Isen), a medieval middle class girl who is supposed to become a Lady-In-Waiting, but has other, grander aspirations for herself: she wants to become a knight and defend her kingdom! Jane is spunky and determined so, despite different expectations of her, she starts training to become a knight. Luckily for her, she does not have to do it all alone. Her best friend, a friendly three-hundred-year-old fire-breathing dragon, is always there for her, as is the prince who owes her a huge favor. The trio is in for a bunch of out-of-this-century craziness as Jane works towards her dream of becoming a knight.
