Iz and the Zizzles

Iz and the Zizzles was a direct to video cartoon produced by DiC Entertainment in 2007. It was based on the Zizzle Iz, which was an electronic musical toy that came out from the company Zizzle in September 2005. It was a slightly abstract tripod humanoid looking toy that created music when the owner pulled or twisted parts of the toy's body. The Iz was created by Roger Shiffman who also made the Furby, Giga Pet and Poo-Chi. It was hoped that the Iz would become the 'new Furby' but that did not occur. The direct to video cartoon showed the Iz as a tiny spy robot that had initially been created to track down enemy intelligence by the American government. However the robot crash lands in a random cornfield in a small Midwestern farm town where it is discovered by the Franklin family. The father owns a small radio station and wishes to become a DJ so he can move his family back to New York City, where they were originally from. The robot downloads his entire stations music library, turning it into a wacky, awesome DJ that catapults the Franklin family to stardom. MORE
