It's Me or the Dog

It's Me or the Dog is a reality show from the UK on Animal Planet in the United States that features dog trainer Victoria Stilwell as she visits the homes of poorly behaved dogs and offering training advice. Victoria chooses to teach a dog training approach based on positive reinforcement for both the owner and the dog. Much like Cesar Millan, the Dog Whisperer, Victoria is known world-wide for her skills in training any dog. In each episode, Victoria visits a new family who has a dog or many dogs with behavior issues. She spends some time scrutinizing the family's relationship with their dog and learning how the dogs react in different situations and environments. Once she gets a grasp on the owner's training style, she then spends a few days helping the owner learn how to cope with their dog's behavior and how to coerce the dog to behave better through positive training. Sometimes Victoria even takes owners to visit training centers or animal shelters to learn even more about their predicament. Once she feels that she has helped a family, she leaves to allow them to put their training to good use. At the end of each episode, Victoria returns to the owners' home to see if their dog's behavior has improved and if she needs to give further training tips and advice. MORE
