Indie Sex from the Independent Film Channel is a four-part series that explores the role of sex and sexuality in movies. A long list of film industry veterans join filmmakers Lisa Ades and Lesli Klainberg as they look at censorship, Hollywood's unrealistic portrayal of sex, teenage sexuality on screen, and extreme sex scenes. "Censored" discusses how sex in films is the subject of controversy and debate over what is appropriate for viewing. "Taboos" looks at how independent films present sex to the public with images of sexuality that are more realistic and natural, and sometimes less popular, than Hollywood's portrayal. "Teens" delves into the history and role of teenage sexuality in movies and explores the role that the films play in sex education.
