Important Things with Demetri Martin

Important Things with Demetri Martin is a variety and sketch show on Comedy Central hosted by comedian Demetri Martin. Every episode centers on one theme, the titular important thing, and the themes can range from Timing to Chairs to Coolness to Nature. Demetri comes up with jokes, sketches, songs, and illustrations that relate, either directly or vaguely, to each episode's important thing. Other than stand up performances, episodes are comprised of some recurring sections such as Opening Act, where Demetri uses flashcards and illustrated play-buttons to introduce his theme, Good, Bad, Interesting, where Demetri presents a good, bad, and interesting idea for his theme, Important Things Things, where Demetri makes infomercials for fake products that relate to his theme, Demetrocles/Da Mici, where Demetri acts as an ancient philosopher and discusses the theme, and Other Jokes, where Demetri presents jokes that were not in his opening. Important Things with Demetri Martin is produced by Busboy Productions, Jon Stewart's own production company. Demetri has been a comedian for many years, and Important Things with Demetri Martin is based off his own stand-up act.
