Ikki Tousen is an animated action fantasy TV series directed by Takashi Watanabe, which centers on seven schools at war with each other as their students train and battle constantly in a bid to win the fight. It does not matter who it is – girls, boys, sometimes teachers – the high schools are always fighting. To make matters worse, some of the boys apply ancient jewels to their bodies and become possessed with warrior spirits who would enjoy nothing more than to take part in the fights. Sonsaku Hakufu, a somewhat ditzy redhead, transfers into Nanyou Academy and becomes the center of an order that sends all the fighters out to defeat her. Just as the boys gained the spirits, Sonsaku carries the potential burden as the counterpart of a uniting warrior, one who would stop all the fighting. Sonsaku definitely has it out for her as the enemies corner her every which way in a battle to see just how much fate can push a person before the battle ends.MORE
