If You Really Knew Me

If You Really Knew Me is an reality television series on MTV that focuses on American teens and youth subcultures in high schools. currently airing on MTV that focuses on youth subculture and different cliques in high schools. Throughout the show, students from rival groups get the chance to meet each other and start a dialog with each other in a way that they aren't able to do usually because of peer pressure and apprehensiveness due in part by self-segregation and perceived social isolation. The students meet up for Challenge Day, wherein a moderated discussion takes place designed to let the students open up to each other in ways they have not before. Each student is asked to reveal something about themselves to the group that the group would have otherwise not known. During the season, we visit twelve different high schools where students go through this cathartic process, with ach confession beginning with "If you really knew me..." MORE
