Iconoclasts

Iconoclasts is a documentary television series on the Sundance Channel about famous creative visionaries, that challenges viewers to change the way they see celebrity. Each episode pairs to very different celebrities, such as professional skateboarder Tony Hawk and director Jon Favreau or actress Cameron Diaz and architect Cameron Sinclair, to provide the background for an engaging, strikingly raw portrait of the individuals in question. The portraits scratch below the surface, uncovering the causes for these individuals' drive and ensuing success, as well as how their work has raised the bar of what it means to achieve success. People crave celebrities, spending unbelievable amounts of money on tabloids that offer only freeze frame glimpses, and often misleading ones at that, of the celebrities. This show offers an alternative, an honest look at much-celebrated celebrities that allows for a more complete picture.
