Hyperdrive is a science fiction sitcom that ran for two six episode series in 2006 and 2007 on BBC Two In the year 2151, the HMS Camden Lock is an intergalactic ship representing the British Empire in the burgeoning space exploration. Space Commander Mike Henderson (Nick Frost) dreams of being like his hero, the fictional Captain Helix and explore the galaxy. He is, however, given minor tasks and generally not respected in the chain of command. Second in command to Henderson is First Officer Eduardo York (Kevin Eldon) who has a thirst for violence and a belief that regulations must be strictly followed. Diplomatic Officer Chloe Alice Teal (Miranda Hart) is not very good at her job which she got only because of her father's connections. The HMS Camden Lock is maintained by Sandstrom (Petra Massey), a cyborg who is connected to the ship and maintains all technical functions. Once a normal girl, Sandstrom signed up for the mission to pay off her student loans, though her mind was quickly over written by the cybernetic functions of the job.MORE
