H.R. Pufnstuf

H.R. Pufnstuf is a children's television series from Sid and Marty Krofft, creators of Land of the Lost, that aired from 1969 to 1972 about a boy named Jimmy's adventures with a kindhearted dragon named H.R. Pufnstuf on the magical Living Island. H.R. Pufnstuf is the Mayor of Living Island, where everything, including inanimate objects like trees, houses, books and boats, is alive and can talk. Jimmy is lured to the island with his talking golden flute named Freddy, who becomes an object of desire for the evil with of Living Island, Wilhelmina W. Witchiepoo. H.R. Pufnstuf offers to help Jimmy and Freddy and lets them live in his cave where the witch's magic doesn't work. The show follows as Jimmy and H.R work to foil Witchiepoo's schemes, Jimmy and Freddy try to return home. The show's notable for the H.R.
