How To Look Good Naked is a reality show on Lifetime, presented by motivational host and fashion expert, Carson Kressley, of Queer Eye fame. Based on the original UK Series, first airing on British Channel 4 in 2006, How To Look Good Naked gathers a group of American women who are dissatisfied with their normal, non-supermodel bodies. Then, with the help of Carson Kressley and his crew, they receive a makeover, not only to their physical appearance, but also to their self esteem. Unlike similar makeover shows, the show does not encourage participants to undergo cosmetic surgery or lose weight. Instead, they learn how to view themselves as beautiful, and thus present themselves as beautiful. They make the most of what they have, even if that includes dimply cellulite, curvy thighs, and padding on their stomachs. They learn that anyone can be beautiful, even without a Victoria’s Secret model body.
