Homeland Security USA

Homeland Security USA is an hour-long reality series that aired on ABC in 2009. It spotlights members of the United States Department of Homeland Security as they perform their daily duties. The premier episode followed workers at the Canadian border as they attempted to thwart drug smugglers as well as agents near the Mexican border searching for undocumented immigrants. The northern agents were able to make an arrest of a person trying to smuggle drugs hidden inside a baby's diaper. In another episode, coastal forces are featured as they attempt to chase a boat filled with suspicious material near Puerto Rico. Other episodes include agents arresting a convicted sex offender trying to escape at an airport, a look at high-tech smuggling operations, and a visit to a facility used to train canine border dogs. Homeland Security USA was based on the Australian reality series Border Security with a total of 11 episodes airing on ABC from January through September of 2009. MORE
