Homeland is the Showtime drama which follows the life of an American soldier who is taken prisoner during the Iraq invasion. The series is produced by Fox 21, and is based on Gideon Raff's Israeli series Prisoners of Wars. Damian Lewis plays an American soldier named Scott Brody who is taken for prisoner and left for dead. Somehow he miraculously is saved and returns to the United States after years as a prisoner, and CIA officer Carrie Anderson (Claire Danes) is suspicious of his return. Battling her own demons, Carrie becomes convinced that his return is part of a conspiracy and his capture was a setup. Mandy Patinkin plays the CIA Division Chief above Carrie. Could this national hero actually be connected to an Al Qaeda plot?
