Heavy Gear

Heavy Gear is a former animated television series now available on Crackle online TV. Based on the Activision video game, the show takes place on a futuristic planet called Terra Nova. Terra Nova is a world divided by it's harsh terrain landscape. Two different colonies, the Northern Vanguard of Justice and the Southern Shadow Dragons, fight over control of the world in biomechanical robots called Heavy Gear. Piloted by a driver, these battle machines have thick armor and a gamut of weapons from machine guns to missile launchers. In the most recent episode, an organized professional Heavy Gear competition between the North and South goes horribly wrong turning what was supposed to be a healthy competition into an all out violent and brutal brawl. The Shadow Dragons are pinned down in a harsh area of Terra Nova called the Badlands. We are introduced to a new character, a young man native to the Badland territory by the name of Marcus Rover. With Marcus's help the Shadow Dragons are led to victory over the Vanguard of Justice. MORE
