HawthoRNe is a medical drama starring Jada Pinkett Smith and Michael Vartan. Smith is Christina Hawthorne, the chief nursing officer for Richmond Trinity Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. The first season of the show follows Hawthorne as she struggles with the loss of her deceased husband, financial problems at her hospital, and raising her headstrong daughter. Season two finds Hawthorne at a completely new hospital, contending with a fellow head nurse and falling for Dr. Tom Wakefield, M.D., Chief of Surgery (Vartan) at James River Hospital. Supporting cast includes David Julian Hirsh, Suleka Mathew, Christina Moore, hannah Hodson, Vanessa Lengies, James Morrison, Adam Rayner, Anne Ramsay, and Collins Pennie. Executive producers include John Masius, Mikael Salomon, and Jamie Tarses. HawthoRNe airs on the TNT network and was created by John Masius (Touched By An Angel, Providence, Dead Like Me).
